Baron Lakes
Sawtooth Wilderness, Idaho
The Sawtooth Wilderness is a federally-protected area in Idaho, known for its rugged, jagged peaks and numerous lakes. Established in 1972, it encompasses 217,088 acres and is managed by the U.S. Forest Service. The Sawtooth Mountains, which give the wilderness its name, feature 57 peaks over 10,000 feet, rising dramatically from the valley floor. By far one of my favorite regions to explore and make it a point to visit every year. Can't get enough!

NOTE
You can do this in a day. This is a popular summit, so most people start at 3 am and hike out after summiting the same day. We just chose to take our time and enjoy the view!
The route from Aspen Grove is the most scenic way to go, you don't want to miss the many waterfalls along the way!
